The Lady and the Dark Cabin

It was a dark scary night Abby, Laney, and I walked through the noisy night we were coming home from school. We were in after school so it was late. Our houses were 2 miles from Midway Hills Academy. Suddenly, we see something in the distance. It was a rain soaked cabin. All of the windows were boarded up. We just thought it was an abandoned cabin a couple used to live in. We knocked on the door. The door was really broken down and old. Nobody came to the door so we just checked the door knob. The door was unlocked. We thought someone was going to come out but there was nothing, not a person or animal. We decided to go in. Right as we walked in it smelled like something had been sitting in the living room rotting. Soon we notice a red door. It didn’t seem too scary so we opened the red door. Just as we opened the door we saw a wooden staircase leading to the basement. It was dark but Laney had a flashlight in her backpack. We used it to see our way down. The basement had an awful smell. Then something happened that we would never forget. A lady was standing there silently with glowing red eyes. Her dress had holes in it and we were terrified. We start to walk closer to her saying “ Hello?” Then we got close enough to hear her. She was singing a toon that we all knew. It was a song we would always listen to when we were sad. Then she looked up. We saw her sharp bloody teeth, her mouth opening wide, trying to bite us. We try to run away. We ran out of the house into the woods and straight home. The forest was very ong and she was running very fast. Then we see a light appearing in the distance. It was the end of the woods. We start to see blue and red lights. We looked behind us and the lady wasn’t there. We stopped only to see a police officer running up to us saying “ Thank god we found yall. Your parents have been looking for the three of you all night.” Abby, Laney, and my parents run up to us giving us a bear hug. We were all taken home that night. We were having sleepovers the next day when suddenly we saw the same lady in the window. Thank god we had a brick from moving in a month ago. We threw the brick through the window and the lady was nowhere to be seen. After that we were happy and safe forever.
