One day, on Halloween, two kids were at school, Olivia and Kylie. They were in science class when there was a knock on the door. Everyone jumped in horror when they saw what it was. It was a goblin, a big, gross, green goblin. Then, all of the sudden, the goblin started to pull its head off. Thank goodness, it was only principal Gordon! Everyone laughed in amusement as principal Gordon hollered, “Witches! The witches are coming!” Then, he laughed and said, “Gotcha again!” Finally, the bell rang. It was Halloween! Everyone rushed out of the classroom almost trampling principal Gordon. The girls walked out of the schoolhouse. “Want to come to my house?” asked Olivia. “Sure, let me text my mom.” Kylie said. They decided to go through the woods to get home. As they were walking, Kylie said, “You know, Halloween is the day when all of the hybrid monsters, witches, and all of the really creepy things come out, right?” “Be quiet,” said Olivia. “No, I’m serious. Should we really be going through the woods?” responded Kylie. Suddenly, Olivia stopped and looked around her. “Did you hear that?” she said. “What?” Kylie said. “That noise!” Kylie listened but still did not hear anything. She shook her head. Then, she heard it. “Footsteps,” Kylie whispered. Suddenly, a big, green witch with an old, brown broom came out and screamed, “Humans! I smell humans!” “She probably can’t see us,” Olivia whispered, “Let’s get out of here.” The two girls turned around to leave, when they looked up. The witch was right there! The girls screamed and ran as fast as they could, but the witch was too fast. The witch swooped up Kylie and flew away on her broom. Olivia decided to follow the witch. So, she rolled up her sleeves and started running. After about 20 minutes, she was finally there. She looked through the window. Kylie was tied up and the witch was making a potion. Suddenly, the witch saw her. Olivia ran back and decided to get more help. When she got home, she told her parents about Kylie and the witch, but her parents didn’t believe her. “I’ll just have to rescue her myself,” Olivia told herself. So, Olivia rushed out to the woods and headed to the witch’s house. But when she got there, the witch had already killed Kylie. Suddenly, the witch saw her. The witch ran out of her house and chased after Olivia. The witch caught Olivia, and she screamed, “Please don’t kill me!” Then, the witch whispered in a creepy way, “Sorry, little one, I must kill you. It keeps me alive!” Then, the witch brought Olivia inside and stuck her in the potion. Olivia let out a short scream and then died. An old legend tells that on every Halloween night, you can still hear Olivia and Kylie screaming in the distance.
