Monster Battle

On a hill there was a house and, in that house, lived a giant spider, so scary and venomous that it’s thought alone could paralyze you, freeze you in your skin and make your eyes open wide with shock. That spider was feared for miles and miles, Wisconsin to Alabama, North to South, East to West. This was true until people starting hearing of a snake called ‘Varionomo’ who became more feared than ‘Gongoro’ the giant spider. This made Gongoro very furious, and he ordered his army of ‘Minders’ (mini spiders) to attack Varionomo. As soon as Varionomo heard of this attack, he commanded his ‘Snakeles’ (tiny snakes) to fight back and protect his mighty fearful image. As the ‘Snakeles’ and ‘Minders’ fought, Gongoro scuttled around the palace waiting for news of the battle and his win. When his messengers arrived, they told Gongoro the ‘Minders’ had failed which made Gongoro even more furious. He packed a bag with his most dangerous devices and left the palace for the land of snakes. At the same time, Varionomo slithered up the stairs to the topmost tower in his palace and saw Gongoro approaching. He hissed fire in anger, slithered back downstairs and out the door towards Gongoro. “You tried to steal my title of the scariest creature and now I will make you regret that!! I shall crush you with my enormous pincers, my scuttle speed, and my paralyzer eyes!!!” cried Gongoro.
“No!!!” boomed Varionomo, “I shall pierce you with my sharp teeth, a heavy tail, and razor scales” yelled Varionomo. And so, the spider and the snake fought each other with rage. They rushed, slithered, crawled, towards each other with all their might and anger. Varionomo took the first hit, raising his tail, he attempted to slam Gongoro like a pancake, and then Gongoro hit him with his pincers, pinching Varionomo’s tail, so that he let out a scream of pain. While they were fighting each other, suddenly, they heard a really loud sound, the banging of metal, the clanking of chains, and they saw a ‘MROX”. Wow! It was scary!! It had large metal binders around its legs, with a chain with sharp spikes wrapped around its neck. “MROX attack!!!” “run!!!” cried Varionomo. “NO!” said Gongoro firmly. “We are the scariest monsters in the world, we do not run! We fight!”. So Varionomo and Gongoro charged towards the MROX. The MROX lifted a claw and hit Varionomo. In response Gongoro pinced the MROX’s chains and pulled hard to make it shriek. “Good job!!! Pulling and making the chains pierce him is the only way to make the MROX surrender and obey your every command” said Varionomo. Varionomo and Gongoro fought together as a team to defeat the mighty MROX. Soon after, they both made an agreement to work together and stand against anyone if they tried to invade their territory and become creepier than them. They enjoyed being scary and would not let anyone take that away from them.
