Session Description

Most authors get that sinking feeling in the pit of their stomach when they hear the words promotion and marketing. Author events can showcase a writer’s work to potential new audiences. We’ll look at potential venues, where to learn about events, how to approach them about potentially doing an author event, and what comes after you set one up. We’ll look at what to bring, how to manage your expectations for events, how to promote the event before, during, and after. We’ll use physical examples, view photos from events, and offer helpful information to follow up post-conference.
