Session Description

Learn easy meditation techniques to find and face your fears about writing and let them go. After removing some mental blockages, we’ll have fun with colorful pens and paper: Doodle, map, write. This is like kindergarten. You can’t get it wrong.

A career journalist, Stephanie Siegel wrote for Missouri, Tennessee, and Georgia newspapers for over 12 years. She was privileged to interview John Lewis, Al Gore, Harry Belafonte, and hundreds of other fascinating people. Stephanie grew up in Ohio and Missouri, earning a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in journalism from the University of Missouri. She moved south to escape long, cold winters. She taught essay writing at Shorter College and journalism at Georgia State University. She worked as a copy editor at CNN and the CDC. Her poetry has been published in L’Ouverture and Aurora Rising. Since 1997, she has also been a nondenominational minister offering clairvoyant readings and spiritual healing. Activate Your Life, Volume IV: 25 Transformational Exercises from Coaches Around the World includes her grounding exercise. She teaches visualization techniques for self-healing, including healing writer’s block. And at senior citizen centers she teaches how to use mindfulness to prevent falls. She lives in Smyrna, Georgia, with her black cat.
